"Ms. Mordecai is an incredible teacher! Her lectures were very descriptive. She explained each lesson in-depth and outlined her expectations for each assignment clearly. Her ability to stay in touch with students definitely made my experience with the course easier, as I struggled to complete some tasks on time. I sincerely appreciate Ms. Mordecai's enthusiasm and care with this course. Likewise, the assignments were engaging. I generally dislike writing, but often found myself enjoying the prompts given. I liked the ability to be creative with the assignments. She implemented several ways to not only demonstrate understanding but also have fun with each task."
"Considering it was an online class all the instructions were very detailed and understandable. Ms. Mordecai was also very responsive with her feedback and comments on assignments helping me greatly improve."
"Some of the most important skills I took from this course were writing a memo, writing a grievance letter, and writing instructions. These will have applications when working with colleagues and higher–up's in a formal business setting, as well as general discussions with peers/colleagues."
"I have already applied things I learned from this course to my job applications I just completed. I used the Cover Letter and Resume I created for this class in my application. This is very useful because I didn't know how to do this professionally before."

"She fostered a very positive learning environment where I felt comfortable to share my ideas and fully express my creative side. She was very quick to grade and give feedback as well, which is something that is rare on this campus. She is also very easy to reach. The projects and work that is required for this course were very well paced and very engaging."
"I love her energy and enthusiasm about the course content. She brings in "special guests" to talk to us about their professions and what they do. I admire her passion for this course!"
"Ms. Mordecai is extremely enthusiastic about this course which makes it so much more enjoyable to attend class, especially since all of my other courses are very impersonal and frankly boring. Ms. Mordecai is also very knowledgeable about the topics discussed which allows learning to be so smooth in her classroom."
Anonymous Student Reviewers, ENC 1145: Writing about Myth, Media, and Memory, Spring 2023
"She was always so enthusiastic and kind. She wanted us to actually succeed and do the work, so she was willing to offer extensions if we needed it. She made fun assignments and chose really interesting books and stories for us to read that were related to the topic of the course. I learned so much about mythology, women, authors, and revisionist pieces of work that I wish I could take more of her classes!"
"She always made my ideas feel heard and valuable. Really available outside of class and I always looked forward to going to this class."
"The instructor was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the topic of conversation. I always walked in thinking she was listening to what the class was saying and taking into consideration each person's interests. I feel as though she respected every one of us and this was a class that I thoroughly enjoyed attending."
"Ms. Mordecai was great! She really cared about all of her students and that was reflected in everyone's love of the class. She asked for our opinions on things often, listened to what we had to say, and shifted the course accordingly which I really appreciate in a teacher."
"Kindness and wonderful personality, great at listening to the class and our needs/wants, very educated on writing and many different kinds of media."

"She was always my most enthusiastic teacher. She gave so much encouragement when it was warranted, and when we needed some guidance, she always did it kindly. She gave very insightful comments on my papers and gave me very good feedback that helped me improve a lot throughout the year. She also made people feel as though they could say whatever was on their mind, and therefore fostered classroom discussion that was both lively and insightful. A very good teacher."
"Ms. Mordecai has been a dream professor. She works in her student's best interests to ensure our academic success by providing resources to serve us both in and out of the classroom. Her coursework is never excessive which provokes more in-depth critical thinking and orchestrated discussion in the classroom without being sidetracked. She maintains a good balance between professionalism and a down–to–earth nature. She has stepped into this role with confidence and has been an excellent mentor in my academic career. Ms. Mordecai has been a breath of fresh air in an often suffocating education system."
"Professor Mordecai is gifted in terms of public speaking which made the class incredibly engaging. Her main focus was always for us to understand the material at hand and furthermore, to truly resonate with the words being analyzed if it was applicable."
